Over the course of a few months I had the pleasure of working with students at Backstage Academy based at Production Park. Course leader Graham had an idea for an artist to work with first year Live Visual Design & Production students, in some shape or form, however that may look. Together, we cooked up a collaborative brief for the students. It would be a hard one but an opportunity:

How could they re-imagine my world through their own eyes and imagination? How could they connect to others and share theirselves? Rather than be given an end-point goal we let them define their own boundaries and rules based upon my universe. Taking my visual language as a base, they made their own interpretations and built an interactive, 3D physical walk-in experience. Harnessing the power a Full3sixty walk-in pod – a 360° projection mapped room.

.Their work culminated into a hugely successful, sell-out show consisting of a 15-minute visual and audio experience. They each contributed a unique piece that together, became bigger and incredibly special.
