Scribble Scarf

Embrace playful luxury: wearable art for limitless expression. Limited to 20 pieces.

Dive head first into the world of contemporary artist Andy Welland with the ultra limited edition oversize Scribble Scarf, which allows its wearer to style it any way they wish. Known for his collage-formed, whimsically wonderful art that has decked the shelves of Liberty London and Selfridges, this is the first time Welland has created a wearable fashion object. The Scribble Scarf is presented with linear motifs that make the eye travel from brown and pink to lavender and green and back again. “Having the confidence to just go with a simple line was important, “ Welland says.

A Simple Scribble: Wear It Your Way.

Scribble Scarf has a generous length and oversized width offering you endless possibilities to reimagine your style every day.

The striking blush pink colour is a signature hue in the artist’s work. Welland also focuses on incorporating the dichotomy of machine versus man-made in his portfolio–always taking inspiration from his graphic design background. “It’s an extension of my artwork,” Welland says. “It feels like the scarf is almost a canvas or a gesture itself. When somebody wears it, it has all the energy of different styles and different moods.” Simply flip the scarf over to see the negative version of the print, wear it on one side with a twist, or pin it up with a giant safety pin–it’s a top, it’s a skirt, it’s a cape–it’s whatever you want it to be.

A work of art manifested as a double-layered jacquard knit. Each half is thoughtfully and meticulously united with a seamless locking stitch and hand-finished. With a contrasting hem-edge detailing, your piece becomes a unique wearable canvas. All crafted from 100% Woolmark-certified Merino wool.

All the artworks are meticulously handmade one piece at a time. It is therefore quite difficult, if not impossible, to make identical items. Colours may vary and natural blemishes or irregularities should not be misconstrued as flaws but embraced. It is what makes each piece handmade and unique.
