Studio Shop FAQ

Further Works Catalogue

Not all works are listed within the Studio Shop. Special projects, particularly large-scale works and unique pieces are held back within an ever-changing catalogue that can be requested for further viewing.

Art Care

Upon receiving your artwork, generally in the case of print editions and rolled paintings, it is advised that you gently unpack and unroll your artwork and place on a clean and flat surface. With care, use a book or two to set the paper in place and let it relax over a couple of days.

Your work may come with specific care instructions, but in general, common sense prevails. keep your work away from extreme fluctuations of temperature or humidity.

Craft + Hand

All the artworks are meticulously handmade one piece at a time. It is therefore quite difficult, if not impossible, to make identical items. Any natural blemishes or irregularities should not be misconstrued as flaws but embraced. It is what makes each piece handmade and unique.

Framing

It is often an asked question: “What is the best way to frame my work?” A great frame is an investment and should be seen as an equal to your newly purchased artwork.

For the best outcome, the recommendation is to support your local picture framer who will help guide you on the best outcome along with any potential aftercare.

Artwork can also be arranged to be framed directly for you at an additional cost. If this is of interest, please email for an additional price. Please note that this service is generally for collection arranged by appointment.

The studio “house style” is 22(f) x 32(d) matt white wooden frame. Artwork float-mounted onto conservation grade mount card. Frame fitted with 2mm conservation backers, 2mm float glass (ideally Art Glass if you can afford) and a 19mm white spacer.

If you are Sheffield or South Yorkshire-based, you can take your artwork to JoiN who do a wonderful job hand-framing a large portion of the studio works and are highly recommended.

Shipping

Your purchase will be shipped as soon as possible and generally leave the studio within 2—5 working days. You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. Artworks can be shipped to anywhere in the UK or most international addresses. Please allow anything from 3 business days to 28 days, particularly for international shipments and arrangement of any special works. Prints are commonly shipped rolled and sent within a rigid tube. Smaller paintings on paper are usually sent rolled in wider shipping tubes.

Special works and heavy pieces are sent via a dedicated art courier. Delivery is typically arranged via email with yourself on a nominated day. Should you not be available on the nominated day, you may be subject to an additional charge for re-arranged delivery. Collection of your purchase can also be arranged by appointment only.

UK + International Orders

UK + international shipping shipping is free for most items within the shop. Larger and special pieces may carry an additional fee but will be noted on the product page.

You can track your parcel using the tracking number provided in the confirmation email. Please remember to check junk folders in case either the confirmation email or invoice ends up there.

Damages & Returns

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase or your item has been damaged, please email us within 14 days. The piece must be returned undamaged before you will be refunded, so please take the upmost care on re-rolling or re-packaging the artwork within the original packaging. The cost of postage and shipping must be covered by yourself. International orders are considered final sale, and as such won’t be eligible for returns.

Please note: pre-agreed commissioned originals and made-to-order pieces are not applicable for refund or return.
